Before you begin
Setting up the integration to take EFTPOS payments is easy - you will want to have your account set up and the EFTPOS terminal(s) on site before attempting to integrate them and getting them talking. You will also need;
- Your POS terminal on hand and the Lightspeed App is installed
- If you need any help with installing the Lightspeed POS App, check out this guide
- Stable internet connection

Pair your Tyro terminal with your Lightspeed POS
1. Head to the POS screen
2. From the menu button (top left) select Add-ons, followed by Pair Tyro Device
On your Tyro Device
Pro Tip -Preparing the Tyro device may differ from terminal to terminal - follow the prompts on the POS if you are unsure

4.1 Enter the Tyro Device's Menu
4.2 Select Configuration
4.3 Select Integrated EFTPOS
4.4 Enter your Admin Password. This will have been set up when this device was activated
4.5 Select Pair with POS
4.6 You will now see your Merchant ID and Terminal ID note these down for now. Do not select Start yet.
5. Back on your Lightspeed POS
5.1 Enter your Merchant ID (MID) and Terminal ID (TID)
6. Select Authorise on the POS Screen (Blue Button)
7. Select Start on the Tyro device
Pro Tip -If you hit any snags during the pairing process you can clear existing pairings on the Tyro Device (Menu -> Configuration -> Integrated EFTPOS -> [admin password] -> Clear Pairings)

Pro Tip -If you are changing any register settings, don't forget to update you POS with a quick Sync.

How much will this integration cost?
A transaction fee may apply if you choose to use the Tyro Payment integration with Lightspeed POS.
How does my Tyro terminal talk to Lightspeed?
Each Tyro terminal has its own connection to the internet (Ethernet cable, wifi or, 3G) it talks to Lightspeed servers through this connection (naturally, your POS terminal will need to be online.) The Tyro terminal will talk to the banks through its own internet connection.
There are two types of Tyro terminals our integration is compatible with, each their own ways to connect to the Internet.
Yomani terminal: Ethernet and 3G capable
Yoximo terminal: WiFi and 3G capable
Note - You can change connection settings on your Tyro terminal from Network & Diagnostics under Menu
How do I report on Sales by Payment Type?
Payments Dashboards on Lightspeed Insights allows you to easily report on the payment types used in your business, see payment trends, and see which payment types are the most popular.
