The Alternate server field should only be changed when directed to by the Lightspeed Support team. This Guide would only need to be utilised when accessing prerelease versions of Lightspeed for testing and feedback purposes.
What's in this guide?
iPad and iPhone
1. Completely exit the Lightspeed App
Double tap the iPad home button, then swipe the Lightspeed App up to close it (it should no longer show as a running App in the background)
2. Head to the iPad's Settings and scroll down to Lightspeed
3. Change the Alternate Server to labs.kounta.com or the alternate server address as instructed by Lightspeed Support
4. Toggle Repair Lightspeed on next launch to on.
Note: When re-opening the app you should NOT see a "Return to POS" option, if you do, double tap the home button and swipe up on the app to close it, then start it again.
5. Once completed, close the Settings App and Open the Lightspeed App again.
6. Recycle your register profile - then re-select your register from the list of available registers as you access the POS
Android
1. With the Lightspeed app open, tap the screen with 3 fingers and swipe down
2. Change the Alternate Server to labs.kounta.com or the alternate server address as instructed by Lightspeed Support
3. Select Repair
4. Once completed, Open the Lightspeed App again.
5. Recycle your register profile - then re-select your register from the list of available registers as you access the POS
