Make sure the needed filters are selected
Before you begin
This might be an obvious one, but before you start looking into your data, it helps to have data available. Make sure that you have a few hours of trading data (at least) under your belt to start utilising these reports.
You will also need to have Enabled your Lightspeed Insights.
Make sure the needed filters are selected
For you to be able to download, send, or share a default dashboard, you need to make sure that the needed filters (marked with a yellow exclamation point) are selected - otherwise, the data won't run properly.
If you see an error saying No Results, it could mean two things: (1) there is no data within the parameters you've set or (2) you weren't able to select needed filters.
These are the default dashboards along with their needed filters:
Site Performance
- Site Comparison: select the two sites
- Site Summary, Site Overview, Site Summary - Last Week, Tables: the site would autofill but if you're managing more than one site, make sure the right one is selected.
- Service Period Comparison: Breakfast vs. Lunch: select the site, the time range of Breakfast and Lunch, and the Date Range.
- Service Period Comparison: Lunch vs. Dinner: select the site, the time range of Lunch and Dinner, and the date range.
Product Performance
- Individual Product Performance, Product Across Sites: select the site and product
- Company Weekly Product Overview: select the company
- Product Comparison: select the two products and the site they belong to
- Individual Reporting Group Performance: select the site name and reporting group
- Reporting Groups Overview: select the site name
- Individual Reporting Group Performance for Reconciliation period: select the site, the reconciliation date range, and the reporting group name
- Individual Product Performance for Reconciliation period: select the site, the reconciliation date range, and the product
Staff Performance
- Staff Overview: select the site
- Individual Staff Performance: select the site and the staff
- Staff Comparison: select the site and the two staff members
Customer Sales
- Customer Overview: select the site and country
- Individual Customer Sales: select the customer by identifying any of these: name, email, mobile
Payments
- Company Payments Overview: select the company
- Site Payments Overview: select the site
- Payment Type Performance: select the site and the payment type
Reconciliations
- Site Reconciliations Overview: select the site
- Reconciliations Overview: select the reconciliation date
- Individual Reconciliation Drilldown: select the reconciliation number
Wastage
- Wastage Insights, Staff level wastage, Wastage entry details: select the site
- Product-level wastage: select the site and the product
Purchase
- Purchase Insights: select the site
- Individual Purchase Order Details: select the purchase date and the site name
- Product Purchase Trends: select the product, the purchase date and the site name
Download a Dashboard to PDF
From the settings cog wheel in the top right of each Dashboard, simply select the option to Download as PDF or Download as CSVs
Send and Share a Dashboard
If you need to send or share the dashboard with a colleague or manager in your business then it is very easy to Export it to PDF or simply email it to them.
1. From the settings cog wheel in the top right of each Dashboard, you can select Send...
2. You will then be asked to enter the following information
- The recipient's email address
-The format in which you would like the Dashboard sent
- The relevant filters for the dashboard you are sending
3. Select Send and it's sent
Schedule a Dashboard
Need a report sent at the start or end of each day/week/month?
Simply schedule a report from the Dashboard you want to send.
1. From the settings cog wheel in the top right of each Dashboard, you can select Schedule...
2. You will then be asked to enter the following information
- The recipient's email address
- The format in which you would like the Dashboard sent
- When and how regularly you would like the report sent
- The relevant filters for the dashboard you are sending
3. Select Save All and it's sent
Pro Tip - If you want to set up more than one schedule, simply select New + to create a new schedule.
