Driving Sales with Lightspeed Ordering

How can you get more orders with Lightspeed Ordering

One of the main advantages of Lightspeed Ordering is that you have access to all your customers' data. You can find this information in Reports in Lightspeed Ordering's Venue Manager and then use it to run sales-driven campaigns.  A great example of this is a Customer of the Month campaign. 

In this guide, you'll learn how to run this competition on social media, identify your top customers and then create promo codes.

What's In This Guide?

 

Step 1: Promote the Competition

Promote this competition on your social media. You should also mention the competition to anyone ordering in-store; maybe they don't know about the app yet!

Copy you could use could be something like this: 

Save time by making orders on Lightspeed Ordering! All orders on Lightspeed Ordering will give you the chance to win one of 3x $30 gift vouchers at the end of the month! We'll draw three lucky winners from our top 10 customers! Download Lightspeed Ordering now!

 

Step 2: Identifying Your Top Customers

  1. Sign in to Lightspeed Ordering's Venue Manager.
  2. Navigate to the Reports section. 
  3. Click on the Customer Mailout report under Customer Reports.
  4. Select the desired date range for your report. 
  5. Run Report.
  6. You'll see a list of customers that have made orders within this period. Alongside each record, you'll find their names, emails, phone numbers orders and transaction value. 
  7. Draw 3 winners from your top 10 customers. 

 

Step 3: Creating Promo Codes for Winners

Take a look at our article on Setting Up Promos. This outlines the basics of setting up promo codes. 

For this particular campaign, you'll need to create a code for each winner. The codes need a value of $30 and a restriction so that the total amount redeemed per code is $30. This setup is shown below:

Once that's done you'll want to share the codes with the winners. You could email them (check out our example below), send them an SMS or announce them on social media!
