How long is a training session?

You can book a 30 minute session. Why 30 minutes? That’s the sweet spot! Half an hour gives enough time to cover important content without being overwhelmed with too much information.

 

Can I book a longer session?

If you’d like a follow-up session to deep dive into anything covered, you can always use your Account Manager’s booking link to book another session.

 

What does a training session cover?

That really depends on your business – it’s always personalised and tailored to you as there is no off-the-shelf solution. However, as a foundation, training session would usually cover Back Office and POS topics that include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Register settings and workflows
  • Adding products and menu design
  • Taking and holding orders
  • Making sales and refunds
  • Site information
  • Staff permissions
  • Enabling Features and Integrations
  • Accessing the Help & Support menu

 

And if there are specific topics that you’d like to focus on, do let your Account Manager know when you book your session. 



Where does it take place?

All training sessions are conducted on a video call via Zoom. 

 

What should I prepare?

Please ensure you’ve successfully logged into your Lightspeed account. For an effective meeting, do join the Zoom session five minutes before the meeting starts so that you’re ready to get stuck in! During the session, it’s likely that you will have to share your screen, so please do join using a computer, laptop or tablet.

 

Can I do training over the phone?

This is not ideal. As the session will walk you through the platform, your Account Manager can answer any questions you have as you encounter them. So for you to get the most out of this training, it’s ideal to do this over a video call where you can share your screen from your computer, laptop or tablet.

 

Do you come to my venue?

 Given that Lightspeed is fully remote, all training sessions are run over Zoom.

 

How many of my team members can join the session? 

Ideally, no more than three as it could get a little distracting with the amount there is to cover. However, the session will be recorded so you can distribute it to your team anytime!

Will the session be recorded?

Yes. You will be sent the recording after the session so you can revisit it anytime and also distribute it to your team.

 

How do I reschedule?

You can reach out to your Account Manager to reschedule your booking.
