Integration - One4Later

Go digital with your loyalty program with One4Later. With this loyalty card system, you can grow your customer base, and save money on paper and printing costs.

One4Later syncs your customer details and sales information collected on POS, and lets you have a quick overview of your loyalty program.

For help and assistance beyond this support guide, you must reach out directly to One4Later. Lightspeed Support is not able to assist you in these matters.

Before you begin

You’ll need:

  • One4Later paid plan and account. You can choose your plan on One4Later’s plan page. Plans are only available in AU and NZ.

Enable the integration

  1. From Back Office, go to Integrations
  2. Select One4Later 
  3. Hit Enable

Set up offer

Set up: Buy X get Y items free

Use this to set up a loyalty offer similar to punchcard. E.g. Buy 9 coffees, get your 10th coffee free

  1. Log into your One4Later account
  2. From the Offers page, hit New
  3. Choose Buy X get Y items free from the dropdown menu and hit Select this type
  4. Give the offer a name, e.g. Coffee Stamp Card
  5. Select your site from the Connect to field
  6. Toggle on Auto-renew and/or Auto-assign as desired

Auto-renew on redemption means that when a customer redeems the offer, it will automatically load a new stamp card for them.

Auto-assign to new customers means when a new customer is added to POS, they will be automatically enrolled in the loyalty offer.

  1. Hit Next - create rule to confirm
  2. Under Buy, enter how many items the user must purchase to qualify for the offer
  3. Under Get, enter how many items the user gets once they have qualified
  4.  Hit Next - add products
  5. In the Add Product field, select the product(s). You can choose multiple products
  6. Hit Save to complete the offer

 

Set up: Get X free items

Use this to set up a giveaway offer or a complementary function, e.g., New members get a free glass of bubbly on their first visit.

  1. Log into your One4Later account
  2. From the Offers page, hit New
  3. Select Get X free items from the dropdown menu and hit Select this type
  4. Give the offer a name, e.g. New member bubbly
  5. Select your site from the Connect to field
  6. Toggle on Auto-renew and/or Auto-assign as desired

Auto-renew on redemption means that when a customer redeems the offer, it will automatically load a new offer for them. However, in this "free bubbly" example this is a one-time offer, so they will only be eligible for one free glass throughout their membership. 


Auto-assign to new customers means when a new customer is added to POS, they will be automatically eligible for this offer. However, it’s likely that not all customers will be members, so Auto-assign should be Off. In the event that the venue was a Members-only club (e.g. an RSL) then Auto-assign would be On. 

  1. In the Number field, enter how many free items the user is entitled to
  2. Hit Next - add products
  3. In the Add Product field, select the product(s). You can choose multiple products
  4. Hit Save to complete the offer

Add a new customer and make a sale

If it's the first time you are adding a customer to Lightspeed, follow these steps to sync the customer to One4Later and begin tracking the customer's purchases.

New customer:

  1. Hit Add Customer
  2. Enter the name, and either email or phone number and select Add Customer. You will be taken to the Sales Screen
  3. Select the customer at the top of the order, hit Unlink. You will be taken to the customer search screen.
    We recommend now waiting at least 30 seconds before proceeding to the next steps to allow the systems to sync.
  4. In the search bar, type the name of the customer
  5. Select the One4Later icon (Do not select the customer icon with a Lightspeed logo)
  6. If the system has successfully synced, you will see the customer name with the initials in the icon. This is the correct One4Later profile. 
  7. Select the icon with the customer's initals
  8. You can check you have accessed the One4Later profile, as you will see a tab with One4Later on their profile.
  9. Now hit Save to add the customer to the order.

If you are adding an existing customer:

  1. Hit Add Customer
  2. Use the search, or scroll to find the customer
  3. Choose the One4Later icon
  4. Enter items into the order
  5. Send or Checkout the order

Redeem the offer

When the customer is eligible, you can redeem the offer from POS.

  1. Add the item/s to the order
  2. Add the One4Later customer profile
  3. From the customer page, tap Redeem to select the offer

The free item will automatically be discounted from the sale.

Have you added in your staff? By adding your staff you will be able to monitor their attendance and performance. You will also be able to manage what they can do on Lightspeed.
